Free second ticket to the National Museum of Antiquities

Free second ticket to the National Museum of Antiquities

From April 28th to September 19th 2010, the National Museum of Antiquities in Leiden presents the double exhibition 'At First Sight - 200 unexpected antiquities from the collections of Frits Lugt and Helene Kröller-Müller'. A 2-for-the-price-of-1 offer is available especially for this occasion: on presentation of your admission ticket to the Kröller-Müller Museum, you will receive a free second ticket for the National Museum of Antiquities.

The offer applies from April 28th through September 19th 2010 (not in combination with other discounts).

Frits Lugt and Helene Kröller-Müller were two of the greatest Dutch art collectors of the early twentieth century. Both are known for their large art collections, including work by great masters such as Rembrandt and Van Gogh. That they were also passionate about antiquities is something of which few people are aware. These little-known collections of Roman glass, Egyptian portraits, Greek pottery, and elegant terracotta figurines are the main attractions of the exhibition ‘At First Sight: 200 unexpected antiquities from the collections of Frits Lugt and Helene Kröller-Müller’.  Also on display will be portraits, photographs, and correspondence of Lugt and Kröller-Müller, which provide a more personal view of these two art lovers and paint a nostalgic, atmospheric picture of their lives.

You will find more information on the exhibition at the RMO website
